Confucius more specifically pointed out that "the five who can do in the world are benevolent". These five are "courtesy, leniency, trust, sensitivity and benefit". Because "if you are respectful, you will not insult others; if you are lenient, you will win others; if you believe, you will be arbitrary; if you are quick, you will be meritorious; if you benefit, you will be able to help others" (Yanghuo). These five virtues are all based on respect, care and understanding for people.

孔子特別強調(diào)“仁”的價值和作用。他認為，“仁”既是每個人必備的修養(yǎng)，又是治國平天下必須遵循的原則。對于為政施治，他倡導(dǎo)立足于對人的關(guān)心愛護，以教化的方式來達到治國安邦的目地。
